IN PORTRAIT: ECOVINYASSA
The climate and vegetation of the fertile area of the Huerto de sa Vinyassa mean that more than 2,000 orange and lemon trees thrive on an area the size of two and a half football fields. The fact that the finca, inherited from the great-grandfather, and the surrounding oasis are now an insider tip for connoisseurs is thanks to the hospitality of its owners, the lovingly prepared snacks during and after the tour, the illustrious companions (the attraction, in addition to the free-range chickens, is undoubtedly the albino peacock) and the controlled organic cultivation.
An experience for all the senses! The tour of the orange plantation, which was part of the supporting program of the KNUMOX Mallorca Event 2023, was like vitamin C for the soul for all participants. The paradise on earth could be explored independently on the natural paths. 50 information boards along the way provided information about the varieties and the harvest time of the fruit. However, the tour was much more personal, where the passion for the almost untouched nature could be felt. The hour of the tour flew by, but time otherwise seems to stand still here - thanks to mindfulness, enjoyment and living in harmony with nature.
Anyone who had already worked up an appetite for the juicy oranges during the tour was even more pleased with freshly squeezed orange juice and Mallorcan snacks at the end. And for those who still hadn't had enough of that, the in-house farm shop with a large selection of its own organic products offered the last opportunity to take a "bite of the Garden of Eden" home with them.
